I need cones for my pre-roll business, where do I start?
First thing is you will want to is to contact our team at info@konehedz.com. We will want to know the following info:
Cone size and Paper type
Quantity required
Machine compatibility
Timeline and schedule planning
Once we have this information, we will send you samples for your own testing and provide formal estimates to proceed with your order.
What is your minimum order quantity?
We sell in bulk to Licensed Producers in Canada. Our minimum order quantities vary depending on the sku.
Why is quality so important?
High quality cones = lower reject rates. If you buy cones that compromise the quality, you take the risk of higher reject rates which will impact your bottom line.
What are your lead times?
Lead times can vary between 3-8 weeks. Please contact our team for a quote on lead times for your needs. Mostly, our cones are made-to-order, meaning we make them fresh just for you. This ensures the highest quality pre-rolled cone. If you are lucky, we may have some in stock that can arrive within a week but they don’t last long. Give us a ring an we can help get you sorted! We post in stock inventory here on our website or on instagram.
TIP: ALWAYS have 1-2 months of stock on hand to avoid shortages.
Do you make custom cones?
Yes, lead times may vary. We can do custom printed filter tips as well as custom sizes. Our team will create prototypes to ensure you receive exactly what you want.
Where do we store our cones and how long are they good for?
Ideally cones should be stored in cool to room temperatures in a dry environment at 55% humidity and 18-22 degrees celsius. If kept in this environment, the cones will be in best shape for 1-2 years. Do not store your cones in a greenhouse.
Have you done testing for pesticides and heavy metals in your paper and ink?
Yes, we have recently updated all of our testing to meet Cannabis 2.0 requirements. We also have ISO certification and details for composition of our paper. All testing includes both the smoking paper and the filter paper. Please contact one of our representatives for a copy of our testing.
Konehedz invests in testing from reputable labs every 6 months and will provide CoA’s and CoC’s for every order.
I want a half gram cone, what size should I choose?
You can check each cone size and our recommended capacities here. Each cone can fit +/- specific capacities. We recommend requesting samples to see what cone size and paper type you are after based on the capacity you want. The most standard sizes are:
1Q (84mm/26mm) - 0.5g +/-
Reefer (98mm/26mm) slim - 0.5g +/-
Medium (98mm/26mm) 0 -.7g +/-
King 26 (109mm/26mm) - 1.0g +/-
Do you have rice paper pre-roll cones?
We do not have rice paper pre-roll cones. It is a common misconception that rice paper can be made into pre-roll cones.
To our knowledge, you simply cannot make paper from rice. The fibers are too short. Let alone a paper “thin” enough to use as a rolling paper.
As far as we know “rice paper” is a generic name used in general for thin (low coresta units) rolling papers.
Rice paper usually refers to paper made from parts of the rice plant, like rice straw or rice flour. However, the term is also loosely used for paper made from or containing other plants, like hemp, bamboo or mulberry. The various raw materials, though, all have one thing in common: it looks like rice in colour - silver/grey. We recommend the wood white paper as the paper type that you are looking for.
Organic Hemp Paper, tell me more…
Our organic hemp paper is FSC certified organic. This paper is naturally derived and unbleached, therefore variations in the paper may occur.
What machines are your cones compatible with?
Our cones are compatible with all filling machines. We have seen our cones used in the Knockbox, Raw Thumper, Rocketbox, Pre-roller er (all versions), Juanaroll and more. Some sizes only work with the Knockbox. Contact our team for more information. It is the purchasers responsibility to use our samples to test for compatibility with the machine. Samples are available upon request.
